Acknowledge my professional development

I am Dr. Marco Antonio Rodas Nava, born in Tepic, Nayarit. Raised in Tijuana since I was 5 years old.

I did high school in Instituto México, and thanks to a profound interest in medicine I decided to enter the Faculty of Medicine at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California where I completed my license as General Physician, including to obtain the degree and Pregrade Internship at Hospital General Regional del Estado de Sonora en Hermosillo and a year of Social Service in Sinaloa, concluding this way 7 years of professional preparation.

I got selected among many aspirants to make the Residence in General Surgery at Hospital Español de la Ciudad de México, with a duration of four years and afterwards compete for the selective for my second postgraduate in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, with a duration of three more years at Centro Médico Nacionalsindicalista “20 de Noviembre in Mexico City as well. Both with the endorsement of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, completing this way 14 years of academic preparation.

During the residence of Plastic Surgery I had hospital rotations in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery at Hospital Infantil de México, Craneofacial trauma at Hospital Lomas Verdes IMSS. Likewise, a Workshop Course of Microsurgery with the endorsement of the Microsurgery Association; Fellowship at Santa Casa da Misericórdia, Clínica Interplástica and Clínica Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

I am certified by the only official organism in México: Consejo Mexicano de Cirugía Plástica, Estética y Reconstructiva, which warranties that I have the profesional formation, experience and ethics needed to offer you safer procedures, updated and best results.

I am a member of the main national and international associations which give support to my medical practice:

Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), International Society of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ISAPS). This means I accomplish with the highest standards of quality, safety and continuous update.

Also member of de Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía Plástica, Estética y Reconstructiva (AMCPER) and Colegio de Cirujanos Plásticos, Estéticos y Reconstructivos de Baja California (CCPERBC), organizations which bring together specialists committed with medical excellence and professional ethics.
