Ear fixation: In order to make a more ideal form it mixes techniques to reposition the ear. An incisiones is made behind the ear to access the cartilage, this gets formed to achieve the form and position wanted.
Two ways to fixate the ear:
- Cartilage punctuation, incisiones are made in the cartilage to change the form and position of the ear.
- Cartilage preservation, no cartilage is removed, sutures are used to change the position and form of the ear.
Ear reconstructive surgery corrects deformations of the ear caused by illnesses or injuries.
Risks for this surgery are minimal, the scar is barely visible and small, results are virtually permanent. Nonetheless some postoperative care is needed: avoid sleeping on your side, a compressive band, among others.
